A BBL faja isn't just any faja. After fat is transferred to your butt, your garment has to compress your abdomen, waist and thighs while at the same time leaving your butt free: if it flattens it, the grafted fat won't survive. These are the BBL-ready styles we carry, all with a butt-lift design.

What your faja must not do after a BBL

  • Compress your butt. That area needs to be pre-shaped with no direct pressure, which is exactly what the butt-lift design does.
  • Leave seam marks. A tight seam over freshly grafted fat can leave dents that are very hard to correct later.
  • Be too small. Squeezing harder doesn't speed up recovery; it compromises your circulation.

The stages, plain and simple

  • First days: the garment the clinic gives you, until your surgeon clears firm compression.
  • Stage 2, no boning, once the swelling starts going down. Hooks with three settings and a butt-lift design that doesn't squeeze your butt.
  • Stage 3, with boning, once your body has settled. Defines your waist and protects the results that took months to achieve.

We explain it in detail in our guide to stage 2 and stage 3 post-op fajas.

When do I start wearing it?

You usually leave the operating room with your first garment on. Your surgeon decides when you switch to stage 2, usually between weeks two and six.

Do I also need an abdominal board?

Many surgeons recommend one. The board goes under your faja in the first weeks and keeps folds from forming on your abdomen. We carry the Zarey Tap abdominal board.

Can I buy two and rotate them?

That's what we recommend. While one is being washed and drying in the shade, you wear the other. Plus, the garment lasts longer when you don't rush it dry.
